Greige fabric is an undyed and unfinished textile made by fiber processing. ‌ The production process of greige fabric involves two main stages: spinning and weaving.

First ‌ fibres are made into yarns by spinning, these yarns may be of the same kind or ‌ may be a mixture of two or more different kinds of fibres. The yarns of mixed fibers are interwoven by a loom according to certain rules, so that the greige fabric is formed.

Weaving

The process involves three broad categories of organization: plain, twill and satin, and variations on them. Woven fabric because of its unique weaving method, makes the warp and weft interlaced, to form a firm, crisp and not easy to deform the characteristics.
